How to Fix Battery Drain on iPhone 7

I bought a new iPhone 7 plus a couple weeks ago. At first, things seemed great. Now not so much...the phone's battery is draining way too fast. I had it fully charged late this morning and I just checked it...it was down to 29%. I don't have bluetooth enabled OR that wi-fi assistant.

The last few calls I've made, I've been able to hear them but they only hear 1 word out of several from me. My brother asked if I was calling from a wind tunnel. My doctor's nurse was not able to get the needed information and I had to call her from my sister's landline. The third thing is that the back of the phone seems too warm, I'd say almost hot. I'd appreciate any ideas and/or suggestions!

I am not a tech here, but here a few suggestions. Most apps run on your phone in the background and can quickly drain your battery. Try double tapping your home button, and then swipe up the screens that appear behind your home screen. Be sure that your screen brightness is on auto. Go to the mail app and reduce the number of times that mail is fetched. Every 15 to 30 minutes should be enough.

Then go through your apps and turn off notifications on all apps that are not crucial to you. Hope this helps. If not there are a few other things you can do. One other thing is to take a dental floss brush pick and clean out the charging receptacle. Depending on where you carry or store your phone dust can quickly build up in there and prevent accurate charging.
